Personal Development & Leadership

Leadership Mantra

Posted on

A question all leaders need to ask very frequently is this – do people working in my team come to work for the love of work or to do a job for which they are paid. Leaders need to constantly structure their system, remuneration, training & development activities, recruitment etc. in such a manner that their teams do not come to office for job but to fulfill their passion and sharpen their skills.

One of the greatest art a leader needs to learn is how to put his team in auto-pilot mode and step aside and watch & guide its growth from a distance.

Hurdle to empowering workforce

Posted on

The single most important reason which acts as hurdle in the way of empowering employees is the reluctance on the part of management to let go of control.

The fear to let go arises from the lack of belief in oneself and lack of knowledge of laws and principles of natural leadership

To empower others would start with empowering oneself.

To empower oneself first there is a serious need to see that there is a need to empower oneself.

Growth is natural, you either grow else you shrink. This is how nature has designed us. It has left us with a responsibility to grow and it penalizes us if we do not grow by cutting us in size in its own way.

It is amazingly surprising to realize that if we only make a resolution to grow everyday, how much more we can accomplish.

It is not unrealistic to say that the potential of human resource that we have been able to tap is just the tip of the iceberg.

Learn-Grow
Grow-Empower Yourself
Empower Yourself – Empower Others
Empower Others – Let go
Let go – Make a new beginning

Stay hungry, stay foolish

Your checklist to a better future…

Posted on Updated on

Keep this checklist:

Ask this question, as many times a day as you can for sometime before it becomes your habit –

How am I feeling now?

Write the following down on a piece of paper and keep it with you. Whenever you ask yourself this question, make sure you take out the piece of paper and point to the zone and feeling that you are experiencing. You must do this exercise. Don’t rely on doing it mentally. That will not give any result.

The ZONE OF HAPPINESS

  • Love
  • Gratitude
  • Peace
  • Joy
  • Passion
  • Excitement
  • Happiness
  • Hope
  • Satisfaction
  • The ZONE OF SORROW

    • Boredom
    • Annoyance
    • Worry
    • Criticism/Blame
    • Anger
    • Revenge
    • Hate
    • Resentment
    • Guilt
    • Depression
    • Fear

Try hard initially and start staying in the ZONE OF HAPPINESS for as long as possible. Here you keep sending positive vibrations to the universe and, “As you sow, so shall you reap”, is what universe answers back to you. So positive vibrations give back positive results. It may be difficult to stay in this zone for long because our body gets conditioned to the zones we stay in for long time. So, if you have a habit of living in zone of sorrow, it will not be comfortable and will find reasons to fall back. However, regular practice shall take care of that and body will get accustomed to living in the higher level.

Today's Education System

Posted on

Our education system today is great at churning out better & better robots every day. There are two sides to it,

i) The good part is that the robots are better than what they used to be before and will definitely be better tomorrow than what they are today.

ii)The sad part; we are making robots out of human beings. There is unimaginable difference between the potential of two. We are comfortable in designing robots because of the fact that they are predictable and do not ask difficult questions.
